Be a Catalyst for Change

The key to our collective success and business strength is to cultivate a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment that reflects the full spectrum of our region. We deliver leadership by promoting best practices, convening strategic partners, and advancing innovative solutions in the workforce, workplace, and marketplace.

Our commitment to fair treatment, access, opportunity, and advancement for all people, while striving to identify and eliminate barriers that prevent underrepresented groups from full participation.

Our actions to create environments for any individual or group to be and feel welcomed, respected, supported, and valued to fully participate.

Forging a New Business Culture

In an effort to make the Triangle one of the most diverse business environments in the nation, Ken Lewis of Nexsen Pruet, PLLC, and Christopher Gergen of Forward Impact formed the Triangle Diversity Business Council in 2001.

The founders recognized the need to expand the vision to include equity and inclusion. They extended the reach further to the at-large business community. This forward thinking led to the creation of the Triangle DEI Alliance and its move to the Raleigh Chamber.
